Oscar Furniture’s new Health Flex Pivot mattress transfers most of the backrest skin shear stress, [the force between the top of the mattress surface and the client’s skin], from the top of the mattress to its base. The design allows the mattress to smoothly slide over the mattress platform instead of the user’s skin. Effectively creating a ‘Auto-Regression backrest’ effect, even on a standard adjustable bed frame! The ‘Pivot Hinge’ improves user comfort when electric backrests are operated by relieving the stretch and compression forces applied to the top and base of the mattress surfaces. The result – a significant reduction in the amount of skin shear force and a much more comfortable user experience.
