- DIFFERENT FRAME MATERIALS | The Carbon Rollator is made from carbon fibre - a material famous for being strong and reasonably light with this walker weighing 5.4kg. The Saljol Aluminium rollator is made from aluminium, which is still strong, but slightly heavier at 6.6 kg.
- COLOURS | The Carbon rollator comes in British Racing Green, Midnight Blue, Matt Black and Copper Red. The Aluminium rollator comes in Pearl Grey, Magic Black, Forest Green and Barolo Red.
- WHEEL SIZE | The Alumnium rollator has an extra-large front wheel, which has a diameter of 250mm, which is great for a smoother off-road experience. The rear wheels are 200mm. The Saljol Carbon wheels are all 200mm in diameter.

Q: Who designs Saljol walkers and where are they made?
A: Saljol continue to be one of the leading experts in the industry with over 20 years in the industry, well-known for developing premium mobility equipment (not just walking aids either). As a manufacturer and still a proud family-owned company, they put a lot of heart and soul into product development and look after their reputation by making robust and trust worthy products that last. They prioritise high-quality materials and attention to detail. Their mission is to make independent everyday life possible and provide solutions that allow their customers to live at home for as long as possible. Saljol is based in Germany. Their factory is carefully monitored in China.
Q: Can I take my mobility aid on an airline flight?
A: Each airline has its own rules about transportation of mobility aids. Some will let you take it right to the aircraft door, others require check in. Some will let you check in a mobility device and it won't count against your luggage allocation. It's best to contact the airline in advance and ask what they'll allow and what you should do.
The Saljol Carbon walker is only 5.6kgs and, because it is light, some airlines allow people to take it straight to the airline door and then the airline staff store it in the 'wheelchair closet' in the cabin. You need to pre-arrange this.
We recommend using the saljol travel bag to help protect the walker from bumps and scratches.
If checking in, some customers simply use the box that it comes in to transport it, which offers extra protection.
Also, most people are fine with travelling with their walker but some airline baggage handlers can be rough on gear, so it's be a good idea to get travel insurance that will cover your walker from damage, and make use of the fragile stickers and tags - these all good things to help in the quest to arrive with your walker intact and ready to roll.
